I am so excited to feature Erika Boom and her amazing brand, FITMAMA, on LivLight because Erika is truly an ispiration to all women. She is designer, self-proclaimed fitness finatic, and most certainly a fit mama to her number one priority, her son.

I love when she says on her website, “I create athleisure pieces with the modern woman in mind: she runs a house, she runs a business, she runs after her kids and looks great doing it!”

I hope you’ll read on for Erika’s “Light”ning Round and full interview to learn more about her and her awesome line of activewear. Make sure to check out her line and shop on her site www.fitmama-apparel.com.

Interview with Erika Boom, FITMAMA

When and how did you decide to start FITMAMA? Did you notice something missing in the activewear market?

After the birth of my son, I felt the need to create a product that would complement my training services AND out of my own need as well, since I could hardly find workout clothes that would fit me right. I found it was hard to find fun and cute workout pieces; everything was so gray and black!

How have you seen the activewear market change since you started?

It’s much bigger and saturated. It’s much more adventurous and I see a lot of crossover between lingerie/swimwear/activewear.

What sets FITMAMA apart from all the other activewear brands out there?

We are ethical, sustainable handmade fashion that uses high-tech and unconventional fabrics to manufacture athleisure pieces for women by women.

The FITMAMA pieces seem to be very flattering. What’s your secret?!?

We know women’s body and I personally test drive each piece to make sure it not only looks good but feels good!

What’s up next for FITMAMA?

I want to continue growing organically as a lifestyle brand and fashion leisure wear.
